Distribution

Once your team has chosen the best soundtrack for your film, do the following as a team:
1. Decide on the title of your film.
2. Choose a still frame that best represents the film.
3. Create a Google Doc Credits List that follows this format:
Produced by NAME
Starring NAME, NAME, NAME, NAME, NAME and NAME
Edited by NAME
Soundtrack by NAME

Next, split your team into two groups:

Film Group – This group should include the person who created the best soundtrack and the person who created the best picture edit.  If one person created the best soundtrack and the best picture edit, they may choose one other team member to help them complete the film.

Promotion Group – This group should include the rest of your team.  It will create a poster and other promotional materials.

Film Group

Student 1 (the person who did not create the chosen film soundtrack)
Create a folder named Titles in your chase project folder then download the templates for the graphics.
Follow this tutorial to edit each template.  (Use your team’s Credit List Google Doc as a reference.)
When your graphics are ready, share your Titles folder with Student 2 so they may add them to their film edit.

Student 2 (the person who created the team’s chosen soundtrack)
Open the soundtrack edit of your team’s chase film in WeVideo.  Select all items on the timeline and move them to the right to allow space for the opening title.  (Approximately 5 seconds.)
Add 5 seconds of music before the film starts.
After the film ends, add 20 seconds of music.
Get copies of the completed title graphics from Student 2.  Add the Title graphic at the start of the film, then add the rest of the graphics at the end, making each last 3 seconds.
Add a fade in at the start of the film, and a fade out at the end.
Export this final edit, then review with the other members of your chase film team.  If any changes are necessary, make them, then export the corrected version.

Promotion Group

Assign one student to create the poster.  If you are this student, download the poster template into your chase project folder, then follow the poster tutorial instructions. | EMP poster template | DVA poster template |

Assign the rest of the promotion tasks to the remaining students in this group:
1. Create a tagline for your film.  For help with creating a tagline refer to these articles | Movie TaglinesGreat Film Taglines | Favorite Taglines 2016 |
2. Create a Google Doc named Promotional Copy. Include in the document:
a. The film’s title and tagline
b. A one to two sentence synopsis of what happens in your film.
c. Credits. (Use your team’s Credit List Google Doc as a reference.)
d. A paragraph describing the assignment and what the experience was like.

Distribution Folder

To complete the distribution process for your team’s film, the producer needs to create a Distribution folder in their Google Drive film project folder. Include in the folder all of the following:
1. The final .mp4 version of your film using the following name format: Film-TITLE-FLAST.mp4
Substitute a one or two word name for your film for TITLE then substitute the first initial and last name of each member on your team for FLAST.
For example:  Film-Waffle-Run-jshoes-tcloth-rbook.mp4
2. Your Promotional Copy Google Doc.
3. Your Poster .psd file using the following name format: Film-TITLE-FLAST.psd
Substitute a one or two word name for your film for TITLE then substitute the first initial and last name of each member on your team for FLAST.
For example:  Film-Waffle-Run-jshoes-tcloth-rbook.psd
