To assess your broadcast production ability, your contribution to your team’s Logan Live show will be graded according to the rubric for your role on the team.


The number of points earned for each requirement will fall into one of four grading categories:

        • Star – Your outstanding work quality makes you highly in demand.
        • Professional – Your work meets industry standards and you are capable of being hired full-time.
        • Intern – You have basic skills that will allow you to work under professional supervision.
        • Amateur – You may have some media skills that impress your friends and family but no one will hire you.

      Show Script – All scripts from anchors and other show segments meet the Production Guidelines requirements. 0-17 18-19 20-22 23-25
      History Segment – The soundtrack and images have been created and submitted according to the Production Guidelines: The script was approved by the Executive Producer; The edited narration has no errors; You have permission for all images and they have been submitted in the proper size and format. 0-69 70-79 80-89 90-100
      Deadlines – All items have been submitted on time according to the Production Guidelines. 0-34 35-39 40-44 45-50
      Communication – You have communicated promptly and clearly to all messages from the Executive Producer.  This includes (but is not limited to) a link in your message to any file that has been requested. 0-17 18-19 20-22 23-25

      ANCHORS

      Requirement Amateur Intern Professional Star
      Script – The script meets the Production Guidelines requirements. This includes, but is not limited to, the rewriting of announcements, if necessary; proper segment introductions; and making sure all dates are correct 0-17 18-19 20-22 23-25
      Video Recording – You should have one recording for the show open; separate recordings for each announcement; and one recording for the show close.  There are no re-starts or reading errors in any recording.  The video recordings are in landscape mode with a a resolution of 1080 x 1920.  The lighting and framing are correct.  The sound quality is good with no distracting background sounds.  The eye contact is centered. During the open and close segments, when a pause is required to allow a co-anchor to speak it lasts no more than one second.  There are no edits within a segment.  Each segment has extra footage at the start and end to allow for editing. 0-69 70-79 80-89 90-100

      Graphics – The graphics meet the Production Guidelines  including, but not limited to, a landscape aspect ratio with of a resolution of 1080 x 1920.
